Secure Processors
Overview
Secure Processors partnered with HLew Marketing to redesign their website and refresh their brand identity with a more modern, professional, and trustworthy digital presence. The goal was to create a website that clearly communicates their electronic recycling, confidential document destruction, and data security services while also highlighting the mission-driven impact behind their work. The project involved a full website redesign, custom logo design, brand direction, content restructuring, SEO-focused page planning, and a clear user journey built around trust, service clarity, and easy contact. The finished website presents Secure Processors as a credible, security-focused, environmentally responsible organization serving residents, businesses, schools, municipalities, government entities, and commercial organizations throughout South Central Illinois.
The Client
Secure Processors is an electronic recycling and confidential document destruction provider located in Flora, Illinois. As a division of Clay County Rehabilitation Center, Secure Processors provides responsible recycling services while creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The organization helps keep outdated electronics out of landfills, supports compliance with Illinois electronic recycling laws, provides secure handling and destruction of sensitive materials, and recycles confidential documents through a controlled facility process. Secure Processors serves a wide range of clients, including residents, local businesses, school districts, municipalities, state agencies, and universities. Their work combines three major value drivers: data security, environmental sustainability, and community impact.
The Challenge
Secure Processors had an existing website and logo, but both needed to better reflect the credibility, trust, and professionalism of the organization. The old website did not fully communicate the scope of their services, the security standards behind their process, or the unique mission that separates them from other electronic recyclers. The primary challenge was creating a website that could balance several important messages at once: Secure handling of electronics and confidential materials. Responsible recycling and landfill diversion. Document destruction and hard drive shredding. Commercial, residential, government, and school district service options. The organization’s connection to Clay County Rehabilitation Center. The meaningful work opportunities created for individuals with disabilities. The website also needed to make the service process easier to understand, answer common customer questions, and position Secure Processors as a trusted local option for electronic recycling in South Central Illinois.
My Approach
The strategy focused on trust, clarity, and mission-driven positioning. We started by refining the brand identity. The new logo direction needed to communicate both data security and environmental responsibility without feeling outdated, overly soft, or generic. The design approach used a cleaner, more modern visual identity with a stronger green color palette, professional typography, and a mark that could represent the security and recycling sides of the business in a more polished way. For the website, I restructured the content around the way real customers search for and evaluate Secure Processors. The site was built to help users quickly understand what the company does, who they serve, what materials they accept, how the process works, and how to contact the right person. Developed a fully responsive website optimized for desktop and mobile. Created a modernized brand identity and logo system. Rewrote and organized website copy to clearly explain electronic recycling, residential recycling, commercial recycling, processing, document destruction, and data security. Built service pages that separate residential, commercial, and processing information for a clearer user experience. Highlighted trust factors including ISO 14001 certification, NAID-aligned security standards, government contracts, video-surveilled facilities, hard drive destruction, certificate availability, and secure document handling. Positioned Secure Processors around its unique combination of data security, environmental responsibility, and meaningful employment. Structured the website with clear calls to action for scheduling service, contacting the team, and learning more. Added FAQ content to answer high-intent questions about accepted items, TV recycling, fees, pickups, business appointments, and location details. Created SEO-focused page structure and metadata for key service pages. Used real company information and mission-driven messaging to avoid generic recycling industry language.
The Results
The completed website gives Secure Processors a professional online presence that clearly communicates their services, mission, and credibility. Modernized website design that feels clean, trustworthy, and easy to navigate. Refreshed logo and brand direction that better balances security, recycling, and professionalism. Clear service structure for electronic recycling, residential recycling, commercial recycling, processing, document destruction, and data security. Stronger messaging around data protection, compliance, secure handling, and responsible recycling. Improved positioning for businesses, schools, government agencies, municipalities, and residents looking for electronic recycling in South Central Illinois. Mission-driven storytelling that highlights the organization’s impact through meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Simplified customer journey that helps visitors understand what Secure Processors does and how to get started. Secure Processors now has a website and visual identity that reflect the professionalism of their work, the importance of their mission, and the trust required in the electronic recycling and data security industry.
